IS MARTIN BASHIR TRYING TO CLEAN UP HIS IMAGE ?

I don't think it is possible with Californians. Every time I turn on TV and he is there, I click the clicker. His 2003 docmentary " Living with Michael Jackson", will be repeated July 16, 2009. The film has been cut down to 60 minutes from 90 minutes.

They are trying to clean it up by not showing the face of the 12 year old boy holding Michael Jackson's hand during the interview. Bashir lived with Michael Jackson for six months and Michael trusted him.

Michael felt betrayed by Bashir because the film showed him in a bad light.

Hi Della,

Thanks for your post. I agree, it's too late for damage control. Look at these numbers. There are:

-four pages of anti-Bashir groups on Facebook totaling at over 4900 members.

-over 3000 YouTube videos most of which are followed by pages of comments from fans who are angry over the Living with Michael Jackson ‘documentary’ and the fact that Bashir gave commentary at the memorial service.

-complaints to Granada about the re-run, http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/granada-television-c225695.html

and, http://www.complaintsboard.com/complaints/granada-television-c226110.html

-over 300 comments on Bashir’s page at ABC. http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/comments?type=story&id=451000

Actually, this figure (above) keeps fluctuating while a number of people have complained that their non-offensive comments have been deleted.

Plus endless complaints on Twitter. A lot of people have complained to ITV directly but are being sent an automated reply. Jackson fans are tired of not being given a voice; of not having the kind of access to millions of people as the network stations have. We are trying spread the word via the internet.
