NEW REPORT SAYS BRITS FAVOR THE INTERNET MORE THAN FOOD

The nationwide Digital Families reports published by 02 says that UK households are coping with these hard economic times by making Internet access a priority over food. When questioned about the items they didn't want to cut back on during this time, they chose the Internet 67 per cent over school uniforms, holidays, and weekly food shopping.

The survey found that the people were obsessed over technology,with nearly half of them spending over 10 per cent of their household budget to gadgets.The average house had 2.4 t.v.'s, 1.6 computers,2.4 games consoles, 2.2 MP3 players and 3 mobile phones.A third of the parents claim access to e-mail and the Internet.
