I was listening to the Gayle King show with the interview of Henry Gates. I couldn't believe my ears. He said he wanted HBO or PBS to offer him a deal to do a documentary on racial profiling. I said "o my God, I can't believe this.
Now it seems to me that he had dollar signs in his eyes when this happened. He knew he could capitalize on this situation. That's why he ratcheted it up a bit. He has really lost some creditability. I have been reading a lot of blogs. Some of them were from Harvard.
Now he is making the rounds of the circuit and will get many speaking engagements. It seems that now I classify him along with Jackson and Sharpton. I am really disappointed. I really looked up to him.

BOSTON COP SUSPENDED FOR A RACIST E-MAIL RE: HENRY GATES
The Boston Police Department said the e-mail was to renew tensions over the Gates incident. Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis placed Officer Justin Barrett, 36, on leave pending a termination hearing. The commissioner removed the officer of his gun and badge upon being made aware of the correspondence.

Hell no, it wouldn't be me. I have too much pride in myself to fall for that. I think Gates and Obama are just trying to save face by doing this. I think Obama is trying to worm his way out of the whole situation. I think he will just be grinning and trying to put on a face like he is just a regular guy.
This incident is just leaving a bad taste in my mouth. It is really helping Gates with free publicity. He is making the rounds and plugging his latest book. I cringe every time I see this. Gates had a meltdown and he is trying to put on a happy face and trying to play the whole thing down.

WERE THERE ANY IPHONES AT THE GATES SAGA ?
There should have been some iphone's and footage of the Gates/Cambridge incident. Many people would like to see the footage before it ends up in court to make an opinion.
If the disturbance happened outside the home, there could be some footage. I just can't believe that professor Gates brought himself to such a level. To make it so personal and to talk about some one's mother.
People said that their opinion of professor Gates had really lessened. There was a time when there was a special on public television and they couldn't wait to get home to see a Gates documentary.
This is not an isolated incident. This happens everyday in America. The officer might not have known who Gates was. It didn't matter who he was .I have asked people did they know who he was and they said no. I probably would not have known if I were not a genealogist. And I am a public radio and NPR fan.
But now I don't think I can ever look at one of Professor Gates documentaries ever again. I see him in a new light now. He took this event to a low level," playing the dozens ". Those are fighting words when you disrespect some one's mother.
Once I went to Vancouver and I was the only one detained from the plane. They questioned me and asked me why I was there and where I was going to stay. I told them at the Abbotsford Hotel and they said there was no such hotel. I gave them the phone number and they called and verified I was staying there.
That's when they let me go. I filed a complaint when I got back home and they called me at work and said that I shouldn't be upset. But my son and I were the only black ones on the plane. I just wondered how they found out where I worked and called me. I just said I would never go back there again.

WHY MICHAEL JACKSON CHOSE DIANA ROSS TO BE HIS CHILDREN'S GUARDIAN
Maybe it is because Diana chose to stress an education for her children. All kids should have a " plan B ". Her children graduated from Brown University and Georgetown University. Her children seem well-rounded.

This remark has given people fodder for months to come. Because he has spoken up for his friend, the Health Care Plan has been put on the back burner. It seems that Gates wanted heads to roll, and I hate it when people ask "do you know who I am"? Or, "you don't know who you are messing with". People don't care who you are when they are doing their job.
I guess Gates thought he was going to get the officer demoted or fired, but it backfired on him. It seems he is going to milk it for all it is worth.

REBBIE JACKSON IS A GOOD CHOICE FOR MICHAEL JACKSON'S KIDS AT THIS TIME
Rebbie was the logical choice to get Michael Jackson's children until their appointed guardian or attorney makes his decision and approved by the court. I think it is a circus in that house.
Janet is also a good choice, but Michael knew that she had her career to pursue. Marlon is the only brother that seems to have himself together. Jermaine is a chip off the old block. He seems the most like Joe. He always has some business deal or plan or scheme to make money.
Maybe if Michael had allowed Jermaine around more this wouldn't have happened to him. If Katherine tries to make herself the administrator of Michael's will, I think she will only hurt herself. Every bit of language that comes from that family will be held against them by the court.
Michael was not incompetent if he was still supporting his mother and looking out for her well being. It seems that he was not into supporting his siblings anymore. He paid for his success by his own blood sweat and tears.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS SUSPENDED MEDICAID FOR ALASKANS
From 2006 to 2009, the state reported 27 Alaskans died waiting for assessments, and 227 died while waiting to be reassessed. This is according to a review in March by the Department of Health and Social Services.It is estimated about 1,000 people will be affected.
Theresa Bovey, CEO of Trinion Quality Care Services, which provides in-home personal care in Anchorage, says this could have a huge impact on those who need the services and wont be able to get it.
Rebecca Hilgendorf, the director of Senior and Disabilities Services said a moratorium is necessary until they get their processes in order. The state was struggling to catch up on assessments because of a shortage of nurses.
The review raised concerns that the state medical agency had not taken the necessary safeguards "to protect the health and welfare of the recipients of the review".
Is this why Sarah Palin resigned her post as governor so suddenly ? Is this the smoking gun or shoe that was going to drop ? Did the GOP try to hide this ?
The review also found the state is not in compliance with all six requirements for all waivers.

MICHAEL JACKSON'S MEMORIAL WAS UNFORGETTABLE !!!
I was so relieved to see it done so tasteful. I was sitting there on pins and needles thinking that AEG would just make a mockery out of it. They said that it would be a star studded event. And I know that many people wanted to sing but it would have lasted for many hours if they had let them perform.
The best part of the service was the Andre Crouch choir. I just wanted to hear more of them. But I guess they didn't want to make it too preachy.The service was done with class. There were many people that had never seen a memorial like that . I would like to buy a copy of it without all of the lags and commercials that was in it.
The inspirational dancers were a hit also.This will go down in history. My sister and her nine year old son were bawling. Also her eight year old grand daughter. My nephew will look at his videos 5 or 6 times at a sitting, so he knows all the words. I don't know who organized the memorial, but it was classy and not too glitzy and was done with taste.

What is a memorial service for Michael Jackson without Diana Ross ? She should have been there to sing "Reach out and touch somebody's hand".
Was it because she was set to take custody of Michael's children upon Katherine's demise? Was it because of jealousy and rivalry ?
She might not have been in the family's inner circle, but arrangements should have been made to seat her at the other end of the aisle.
Also what about Liza Minnelli and Elizabeth Taylor ? They are privy to all the info that Michael has shared with them for these 40 years.
I think the family made a mistake to shun them. They might miss the opportunity to get the children because they might need one of these women to come to court and testify in their behalf.

BILLIE JEAN IS ALIVE AND WELL IN LONDON
A young woman in London is claiming she is the mother of Michael Jackson's three children. She has filed a claim last year and it was thrown out of court. I thought a lot of crazies would come forward. But so far this woman, Nona Lola Paris Jackson is the only one. You have to listen to the lyrics of the song, they are so prophetic.

ARE HMO'S ON THE WAY OUT ?
I think this is the case. They are running scared. Many people are out of work now. When I visited an HMO lately. They had a flyer that asked their members to come and make arrangements to pay their bill. They are losing their patients.
Many people were paying 500 to 600 a month for their health care. So I think that if they don't want to go with the government health plan, they will get a concierge doctor. The fee is around 1500 a year and you get a complete executive exam. And from then on, you pay as you go.
There was some grumbling among members of the HMO that you could not have any pre-existing problems, or they might drop you for any reason. A young woman in Glendale needed a transplant and her HMO denied her, and she died. Another man in San Bernardino needed a certain surgery and they denied him and he died. They later settled with his family.
Maybe that's why the event was planned for the Washington Post and staff members from the Obama Administration and some members of congress. I think the lobbyists were going to have access to these officials so they could help write the government health plan. So big business was still going to have a hand with all things with the Obama administration.
When the word got out the event was cancelled. So this is transparency !!

I think it is despicable for persons to profit off Michael Jackson's death. The promoters wanted to charge 25 dollars for tickets. Are they also going to sell beer and popcorn, music,t-shirts, caps, posters also?

IS MARTIN BASHIR TRYING TO CLEAN UP HIS IMAGE ?
I don't think it is possible with Californians. Every time I turn on TV and he is there, I click the clicker. His 2003 docmentary " Living with Michael Jackson", will be repeated July 16, 2009. The film has been cut down to 60 minutes from 90 minutes.
They are trying to clean it up by not showing the face of the 12 year old boy holding Michael Jackson's hand during the interview. Bashir lived with Michael Jackson for six months and Michael trusted him.

Being a conspiracy theorist, I am wondering if he is taking the fall for Michael Jackson's death. How could he take a job with a high profile client and not know what to do?

The All England Club schedules beauty over brawn when planning Center Court Matches at Wimbledon. This is a discriminatory practice. Champions are placed on the outside courts while the attractive ones are placed on the center court.

I think Diana Ross is a very good choice as guardian for Michael Jackson's children. Michael had traveled all over the world and watched many parents and how they raised their children. Diana seemed to keep her children out of the spotlight and tried to get them a good education. So Michael must have seen her as a nurturing and loving mother and she must have reminded him of his mother, Katherine. It seems that Diana kept her children grounded.
