A HISTORIAN IN BRITAIN CALLS THE QUEEN "A POORLY EDUCATED HOUSEWIFE"

Dr. Starkey hosts a tv series on Royal history. He is a historian who has caused a stir in Britain by comparing Queen Elizabeth 11 with Adolf Hitler's Nazi propaganda chef.

He also said he thinks"she's got elements a bit like (Josef) Goebbels in a attitude to culture". Starkey called the late Princess Diana " a sad hysterical self-abusing extraordinary destructive".

He recieved a CBE from the Queen. Nevertheless, he was livid about her lack of interest in the 1500 year Royal line when he showed her around a musuem he had curated about Elizabeth 1.

When shown around the exibition her only comment was that one of the objects was hers. Starkey stated "if she'd look after them, she would put in place better arrangements for their care, but he supposed it was the absence of serious education" .

Mr. Starkey suggested the Queen's concept of Monaco had been framed only on the reins of her father, George VI ,and grandfather, George V and very little before that. In a 50s broadcast, the Queen said she didn't feel like her forebears, who weren't blessed with husband or children, who ruled as a despot and was never able to travel.

The original Elizabeth, like the present Queen, came to the throne at the age of 25. But Starkey said she had been 20 times as well educated and spoke five or six languages. He stated Prince Charles might be the Monarchy's best hope for survival.
