The best speeches I have ever heard are:

John F. Kennedy

John Doggett , from the University of Texas. At the Clarence Thomas hearings

Mario Cuomo, Democratic National Convention

Martin Luther King, March on Washington

Barak Obama, Iowa Caucus

These speeches made me sit up on the edge of my seat. I wrote John Doggett and asked where he had been all of my life. He sent me an invitation to hear him speak at Claremont Mens College.

I guess since Mario Cuomo was from the East coast, I had heard very little about him.

Martin Luther King's speech was legendary.

And Obama can just go on and on and on and does not need any notes. He was electric.
