THE ARMY OPENS A PREP SCHOOL

The Army has formally opened its first prep school last week. The Army is providing studies for a GED before they are ready to begin basic training.

Jeffrey Sanderson, Chief of Staff at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, is the head. Fort Jackson is the home of the Army's largest basic training school. He says it's academic immersion.

Studies show that only three out of ten people of military age are being capable of joining the Army. The Army expects to fill it's ranks in Iraq and Afghanistan.
