THERE IS A CALL TO STOP NEW ADOPTIONS IN HAITI

Three leading British charities, Save The Children, World Vision, and the British Red Cross want an immediate moratorium following last week's quake in Haiti, until efforts have been made to trace and reunite them with their families.

Countries have fast tracked the adoption process to allow hundreds of Haitian children to be settled with new families.

France's Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner said the country "must not be accused of kidnapping" and processing being sped up for children who were already in the process of being adopted.

There was a case in 2007 where six members of a French Aid Charity were convicted of trying to traffic to France 103 Chadian children who they said they were refugees from the war in Dafur.

WHY IS WYCLEF JEAN BEING PUT ON THE HOT SEAT ?

Rumors are circling that Wyclef Jean is using the monies raised for his foundation, "Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti Earthquake Relief Foundation" is being used for him to profit financially.

I think that people are trying to stir up the pot to muddy others so they cannot get a piece of the pie. Wyclef is Haitian born. When Angelina Jolie toured Haiti in the company of the Yele Foundation, they took a picture of her and sold it to People Magazine for $60,000 and took ten percent of it for a finders fee.

These other organizations have been doing the same thing for decades.

CHARITY NAVIGATOR RATES NON-PROFITS

Before you give to your non-profit. Check it out. For instance, some of the religious and non-profits in Haiti have been there for over thirty years and none of the volunteers have tried to run for public office or try to improve infrastructure.

They ask for money everyday over the airways and get millions of dollars and I have seen nothing they have done but give the kids a couple of bowls of mush everyday. The US has given Haiti over 2 trillion dollars and none of if has helped the local people.

Since there is no government, the non-profits got the money. A professor at Columbia University stated on NPR that none of the money that was raised for Rwanda ever reached the masses. He went to Rwanda and he also went to the organization raising the money and they said that the money went to advertising, and the goal was to make countries aware and hope that they would give.

I think they should all be kicked out and organizations that will make a difference should be there.

CUBA ALLOWING US TO USE AIRSPACE FOR HAITI

The United States has been granted rare permission to use Cuban airspace for aid and evacuation flights in the wake of Haiti's devastating earthquake.

The White House said in a statement today that they have coordinated with the Cuban government for authorization to fly medical evacuation flights from the US Naval Station Guantanamo Bay to Miami Florida, through Cuban airspace, cutting 90 minutes off one-way flight time.

This agreement puts aside decades of Cold War animosity between Washington and Cuba in order to help the injured and 300,000 Haitians made homeless by the 7.0 quake. Guantanamo is being used to give Haiti evacuees medical treatment.

There are an estimated 45,000 Americans in Haiti, some of whom were injured in the disaster.

JOHN P. O'NEIL'S WARNINGS ABOUT YEMEN WERE IGNORED.

John P. O'Neil was a top American anti-terrorism expert at the FBI. He was a special agent and was eventually Assistant Director until 2001. He had conflict with Barbarine Bodine who was the U S Ambassador to Yemen.Bodine and the FBI forced O'Neil out.Bodine ordered O'Neil out of the country and shut down his investigation of bin Laden.

The government officials in Yemen didn't like the way O'Neil did searches and questioned people. He was sent there to investigate the USS Cole incident. O'Neil warned the government about Al-Qaeda.

The special on PBS television's "Frontline" on O'Neils life made me very sad.He was a very dedicated agent. He started his new job at the World Trade Center on September 10, 2001 and was killed there on September 11, 2001.

O'Neil was appointed by Kroll Associates, managing director Jerome Hauer. His remains were recovered on September 22, 2001.

There is a book on O'Neils life by Lawrence Wright, "The Looming Tower " , 2006.
